On World Diabetes Day, the Institute for Healthcare System Transformation and Sustainability (IHSTS) and the Institute for Personalized Therapeutic Nutrition (IPTN) are proud to announce a strategic alliance that could help re-write the script for millions of Canadians living with Type 2 Diabetes and those that are risk of developing it. They will work together to change clinical practices and health care policy so that remission of Type 2 Diabetes will become an option for all patients to consider.

IHSTS Board Chair, George Abbott, saluted, thanked and said goodbye to charter Board Members Arun Garg and Anthony Boardman. Since they joined the Board in 2010, Arun has represented the Board as a Director while Anthony served as Secretary-Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee. The Board of Directors presented Arun and Anthony with a small token of appreciation for their time, commitment and dedication to IHSTS.
The Province has provided over $1 million for improved access to hospice palliative care in Squamish, Powell River and the Sunshine Coast, including the first-ever hospice beds in the Sea to Sky region.
