Dr. Samuel Abraham, Director
Dr. Abraham has had a long career in the BC health sector at the intersection of research, business development and clinical care, including 15 years with the BC Cancer Agency and BC Provincial Health Services Authority, where he served in a variety of research and business development executive leadership roles. During his time with BCCA/PHSA he led the development of a strong intellectual property portfolio, and developed intellectual property policies and ethical frameworks for addressing ownership and commercialization practice of genomic biomarkers and other seminal or platform developments, not only at BCCA and Genome BC but also nationally through a variety of mechanisms and internationally through the OECD. Dr. Abraham holds a PhD in Genetics from the University of British Columbia. the University of Toronto.
